We clocked up a few miles on our holiday! And that meant lots of time for crochet.
This is the progress of my granny stripe blanket so far:
Pattern from Attic24, and yarn is Stylecraft Special DK. I have completed 46 colour stripes, so around 14 to go. I calculated each colour stripe (2 rows) takes approx 30 mins, so that means I’ve spent 23 hours on this blanket so far!
I love working with the bright colours, the colour selection has been very random. Fitting 17 balls of yarn into the front of the car with me was impossible, so each time we stopped I would reach into my box in the caravan and swap the colours I’d finished using for a few more balls.
The pattern is surprisingly not boring considering how easy it is, there isn’t even any chains between treble clusters. I’m glad I can finish the rest at home now, because it’s getting quite awkward to work on now because of the size.
As for today, I’m giving my sewing desk/area a well overdue sort and tidy up so I can get stuck into some restocking for my Etsy store next week
